What You Should Know About Natural Hair

Texture

Texture is one of the most important tools of this journey. Black hair is very complex. Hair Texture refers to the thickness and diameter of the hair strand. No matter what type of hair texture your hair is, you're still beautiful no matter what.

With maintaining curly hair, you have to treat it very delicately. Be sure to moisturize daily and keep your protected.

Keep Your Hands Out Of Your Hair!

This includes daily combing, brushing, or detangling properly.  I know it will be hard, but still try not to. It is very healthy for your hair and leads to growth.

I do recommend styles that'll keep your protected such as braids, buns, twist, and low manipulating styles.

The less you touch your hair, the more stronger it becomes.

Hair Types

Here's a chart to identify the type of textured hair you have.

Type 2

1 = Straight Hair
2 = Wavy Hair
3 = Curly Hair
A = Curl diameter of sidewalk chalk
B = Curl diameter of a sharpie
C = Curl diameter of a glow stick

4 = Kinky Hair
A = Curl diameter of a needle
B = ZigZag Curl Pattern
C = No Curl Pattern

Curl Pattern

Hair typing is the most popular discussion, whether you have a kinky curl pattern, curly, no curl, etc. Its most important to know what type of hair pattern you have so you can determine the types of products to use and how they will react to your hair type.
